Zero Calorie Diet

Have you ever heard of the Zero Calorie Diet, or the Negative Foods Diet ? I recently ran across an article detailing these diets and how negative calorie foods can help in weight loss. I don't recommend eating these foods alone, however, but making these foods a significant part of your diet can help to reduce calorie intake and boost your metabolism.

                        What are negative calorie foods?

Negative calorie foods are fresh fruits and vegetables that, when eaten, takes more energy to digest. For instance, celery is a negative calorie food. If you eat a few stalks of celery, the energy used to chew it is more than the calories it contains. It then has to go through the process of digestion, which takes even more energy. Thus, more calories are burned by eating celery than if you haven't eaten celery at all.
